Going from the sublime to the ridiculous—mountains and parrots to sci fi reference—I had to share this photo of the Sydney Opera House. It is taken at an angle that renders the Opera House barely identifiable—and yet, the image may seem familiar, at least to fans of Dune. I can’t help but think this looks like a group of giant sandworms that have just emerged from underground, mouths gaping, ready to consume the hapless individuals walking toward them. 🙂
